Brendon 66 YFC Inclusive Football Festival review.

June 1, 2022

We celebrate everything! Winners – runners up – inclusion – fair play just being together in a team we celebrate! Losing a game of football is the hardest thing to accept – it is not about being the best, it’s just purely – be the best you can be, silverware means nothing, smiles means everything. 👌

We had a mixed ability adults team, due to injuries and availability playing at our festival at the weekend. against some tough quality opposition. A great effort guys! Everyone is a winner on the day! 🧡⚽️

Also big shoutout to all the volunteers who helped out on the day. without you all, we could not hold such a successful event. You helped us create those smiles as much as the coaches did!

A big shoutout to the Saints Disabled Supporters Association (SDSA) For sponsoring our – U12s Festival’s Medals, Cup, Plate & Shield Awards.

Another massive shoutout to Hampshire Property Care for sponsoring our U16s Festival’s Medals, Cup, Plate & Shield Awards.

Last but not least another shoutout to Roboclad for sponsoring our 16+ Festival Medals, Cup, Plate, and Trophy and Shield Awards.

These awards were given by non-other than Ashley Vickers who played centre back playing for a number of great clubs during his career from 1997. Weymouth from 2006 – 2008, Eastleigh in 2008 and also Andover town from 2016.

The other great player assisting with the presentation was Kevin Gibbens.

Gibbens made his debut for Southampton on 4 April 1998 against Sheffield Wednesday, coming on in the 58th minute for Matt Le Tissier.

Thank you all, those smiles wouldn’t be possible without your support. 🧡⚽️🏆🏅

Such amazing feedback and comments were made.

A massive thank you to all those involved in yesterday’s football festival. We really enjoyed it and appreciate all the hard work it must have taken to organise. Myself & Sarah Allen, are overwhelmingly proud of each and every child who participated yesterday!
